Nasty diet marketers shrink your wallet

Have you seen the disastrous diets promoted online lately?

How fat loss works

Here’s how fat loss works:

Food contains energy. If you eat more food (energy) than you spend
(in your daily activities), you store the extra. As fat.

On the other hand, if you eat less food (energy) than you spend
(in your daily activities), you draw the balance from your fat
stores. And you get leaner.

The energy in food is measured in calories. One pound of fat is
3,500 calories. So, to lose one pound of fat, you need to spend
3,500 calories more than you eat.

If you spend 500 calories more than you eat each day for a week,
you will lose one pound of fat, since 500 calories a day x seven
days = 3,500 calories.

Unless you know a lot about nutrition, it’s hard to figure out by
yourself what to eat to cut exactly 500 calories every day.

That’s what The Flat Abs Diet does for you: it cuts 500 calories
from what you eat every day. This adds up to 3,500 calories after a

Fat-loss scientist says this diet will get you abs

Jeff Volke, PhD, RD, works at the University of Connecticut.

He’s published more than 185 scientific papers on diet and exercise. He’s also a regular contributor to Men’s Health, and he’s coauthored the book “Men’s Health TNT Diet”.

In a recent study, he found that a combination of a low-carb diet, workout nutrition, and weight training was super effective for burning fat.

Study participants lost up to 10 pounds of pure fat per month, and they simultaneously gained muscle!

Low-carb lifters also decreased their cholesterol 12%, reduced triglycerides 32% (that’s fat in your blood), decreased insulin 32%, and reduced C-reactive protein 21%.

So, not only did they get into better shape: their health improved big time at the same time!

The photoshop king of six pack abs

*Public Service Announcement: Expurt Warning*

This expurt is a loser who pretends to be an expert.

OK, I’m done with the “Public Service Announcement” voice, but this just ticks me off.

There’s this one guy — definitely an expurt — who just keeps posting and posting photos of him that are obviously photoshop’ed to death!

Look dude — if you know what you’re talking about, you shouldn’t need to fake your photos!

You’ll see it:

He has his jaw widened… his shoulders broadened… his face squared.

And a good 15-20 lbs of extra fake muscle put on at the same time.

And for that, I hereby bestow upon him the title of:

“Photoshop King of Six Pack Abs”

Is makes me want to puke.

And if he does that, do you think he’s honest with you when he asks for your money?

What does that say about his caracter?

Abs training tip from a policeman’s subconscious

There’s this one guy I train — a policeman.

He’s been on and off with me for 3 years now.

And if his subconscious could talk to yours, here’s what he’d say…

“WAKE ME UP AND STOP ME FROM DOING THIS BIG STUPID MISTAKE AGAIN.”

“I’M DOING IT EVERY DAY… I JUST CAN’T KEEP UP WITH THIS **** ANYMORE.”

I wish I could wake this guy up, but I’m nore sure he’s ready for it.

Here’s the deal:

He’s been training hard (mostly) for 3 years. And he’s far from his goals — including ripped abs.

The culprit?

Bad diet.

This guy trains and trains and trains, but he’s just not making any progress.

And that’s no surprise — training will only get your so far.

What really keeps guys from getting a six pack

After training guys for 7 years, I’ve found it…

I’ve found what keeps most guys from getting six pack abs.

It’s not their training.

Sure, your training can usually be improved. You could be doing better exercises that challenge your abs more and turn them into a six pack faster.

It’s not their motivation.

Chances are, you’re motivated. Enough to read my daily tips, and enough to train and try new exercises all the time.

It’s not their lack of desire.

Best lower abs exercises

Friend,

In The Pre-Contest Bible (written by Lary Pepe in 2004), 33 top
bodybuilders revealed their pre-contest training and nutritional
strategies. That’s where Dexter Jackson shared he doesn’t train his
abs.

What’s his secret?

To define the lower abs, you must be very lean. Dexter lifts
weights, does cardio, eats less, eats plenty of protein, and
probably uses steroids and other chemicals (I recommend you don’t)
to do so. He gets very lean, and his lower abs show. VoilĂ .

So what should you do? In short, do like Dexter:

1. Exercise (lift weights and do cardio).
2. Eat well (eat less and eat lots of protein).

Note that although Dexter Jackson doesn’t train his lower abs, most
bodybuilders do. I used him to illustrate that getting a six pack
is possible–even without lower abs exercises–when
you do the right things. I still recommend you train your abs for
strength and definition.
